We have also designed an intuitive graphical user interface for the color touch screen display that allows the operator to easily adjust different parameters while maintaining a clear overview of all key values.
First of its kind
The electric skid steer loader, Elise 900, manufactured by Czech company FIRSTGREEN Industries, was introduced to the market in 2020 as the world’s first fully electric equipment in its category. As the designer and supplier of control software, HMI, and working hydraulics, Technotrade has been involved in the machine’s development from the very beginning. In 2023, the third generation of this unique loader was introduced to the market.
Display as an extension of the operator’s hand
One of our main goals when working on upgrades for the latest generation of the loader was to innovate the control system in a way that it provides the operator maximum comfort, ease of use, and effectiveness. In addition to the modern Danfoss CAN joysticks, the latest version of the loader features an optional 7-inch DM700 robust touch screen display from the same manufacturer.
Our software engineers have created a graphical user interface for the display which is sophisticated, yet easy to use. Using the display, operator can quickly select the speed of travel and working hydraulics. The system also allows users to save individual settings for up to three different user profiles.
Moreover, the display can be used to activate/deactivate the bucket self leveling function, which is one of the smart features we had added to the control software, developed using the proven PLUS+1 platform. Additionally, the display provides a clear overview of various essential parameters and values, including real-time tilt angles, temperatures of all three electric motors, and any error messages or warnings that might emerge.
Also not missing among the information displays is the remaining battery capacity, along with the option to switch between Standard and Power mode. Finally, the display serves as a safety feature by informing the operator about the necessity of closing the doors and securing the seat’s safety handle before starting the machine.
Smart, strong & quiet helper
Apart from HMI devices, we also supply additional CAN components as part of the control system, including a Danfoss microcontroller and the CS100 telematics unit. This allows the machine owner or fleet manager to have a continuous access to key performance parameters and its location. From the perspective of technical and service support, the telematics enable remote monitoring and, in many cases, can be also used for fixing the software bugs and errors.
Working hydraulics of the loader is powered by a highly efficient Danfoss Series 45 K2 hydraulic pump, while the smooth and precise control of work functions is enabled by the PVG 32 proportional valve.
