The customer’s requirement was to modernise the original time-proven concept and upgrade it not only with more advanced travel and work functions, but also to simplify the electrical wiring system using as many CAN bus-compatible components as possible.
The hydraulic drive system employs electrically controlled H1-series hydraulic pumps and hydraulic motors for a closed circuit, while work functions rely on the proven combination of the S45 pump and the PVG 32 valve block.
The entire system is managed by multiple microcontrollers, which communicate with each other and with the machine's combustion engine via several CAN buses. We developed custom software to control the drive, machine functions, and cooling systems.
As an option the machine also features an integrated telematics unit that transmits key machine data, enabling remote software installation and predictive maintenance.
